About Michael Morton

Michael is a senior technology advisor, startup mentor, and fractional CTO with 30+ years of global experience in hardware development, product commercialization, NPI, manufacturing and supply chain strategy. He works with four of the world's leading technology accelerators — Capital Factory, Techstars, Mass Challenge, and Founders Institute — as the go-to expert for hardtech startups navigating development from concept to mass production. Before stepping into advisory work full-time, Michael spent over a decade at Dell responsible for industrial and experience design for product lines generating $10–15B+ in annual revenue, earning Dell's first-ever Red Dot Best-of-the-Best Design Award along the way. He's lived and worked internationally for most of his life, including founding the first expatriate-staffed industrial design firm in Hong Kong, and brings deep cross-cultural fluency and trusted APAC manufacturing relationships to the founders and teams he advises. Michael is based in Austin, Texas.
