I mentor start up and early-stage management teams. I am an advisor and fund investor in Austin-based Ecliptic Capital. I am on the board of two venture backed start-up companies and am an advisor to several other start-ups in music tech, multi-cultural podcast platform, sports marketplace tech, in-stadium/venue tech, consumer data and insights, and fin tech. I also mentor start-up founders at the Capital Factory.

I have 17 consecutive years' experience as a public company board member. I have been the Chairman of the Board of a Fortune 500 Telecom company, an Audit Chair of three public companies, and a Governance Chair. Two of these companies were spin-offs from their public parent company. I have served on the board of a public company that entered and then successfully exited Chapter 11 proceedings.

As a former CFO of two NYSE companies, I have dealt with a number of acquisitions and M&A, investor relations and other internal and external public company CFO responsibilities, financings, and efforts to integrate acquisitions.

I most recently am using my experience as a former CFO and current Audit Chair to help build IPTalons, Inc. I am able to leverage my 17-years Audit Committee experience around compliance, enterprise risk, and security risk. In addition, I have experience in intellectual property stemming primarily from my experience on the board of TiVo.
