Chris Gillan

Entrepreneur, Angel Investor, Digital Strategist, Trusted Advisor re: Outsourced Software Development. As an active entrepreneur and angel investor, Chris has helped launch more than a dozen successful companies and mentored hundreds more over the years. Chris's most notable startups have been Idera (systems management tools; successful exit in 2014) and Gazzang (Security/encryption for big data; successful exit in 2014). Chris has vast experience with outsourced software development, with operations on four continents, as both a customer and a provider of services. In 2020, Chris co-founded Emerald Labs which allows software companies with limited budgets to accelerate their velocity of development. From 2017-2020 Chris transformed Capital Factory's partnership strategy, building its Innovation Council which links startups with a wide variety of corporate institutions including ExxonMobil, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, and many others. Chris is currently a Managing Director of Corporate Innovation at Capital Factory.
