Charlie Lass

CEO & Founder at Humbl

About Charlie Lass

Charlie Lass is the person founders call when they need the truth their investors won't give them and their friends can't, backed by enough of his own expensive mistakes to know where the bodies are buried. He builds the Founders, who build great businesses.

He has built eight companies over twenty years, exited three, and spent six years teaching entrepreneurship at MIT Sloan. He has mentored more than 750 founders, from first-timers juggling a newborn and a pitch deck, to operators navigating a hard exit and incredible stress. He helps them make the right decisions first time, move faster, and hold themselves together under the kind of pressure that breaks most people, without pretending any of it is easy.

He has also spent the last eleven years anonymously reviewing hotels for a travel magazine, which is one way to end up in 105 countries and a fair explanation for why he tends to spot the pattern in a business before its founder does. He is the founder of launch consultancy Humble, cofounder of the neurotech company Aelo, and the author of You Suck and Your Ideas Are Terrible.

If you're building something serious and you want someone who has done it to be straight with you, reach out.

Build the company, keep your mind.
